Plein air - Drawing and Nature

What I consider to be a fundamental principle of 'nature' is the collaboration of its elements for its own survival.

This seems to reflect a similar principle in my drawing practice that renders marks or tones as being somewhat perfunctory until they are manipulated into a balanced and collaborative environment of other marks and tones: a balance found somewhere on the path between strength and weakness, between light and dark.
